The VirtualBook® Reader has been developed in the latest Java-based technologies and is a comprehensive multimedia environment that can handle complex mathematical notations, links seamlessly to the web or external applications and features multi-platform distribution options.

Minimum Hardware and Sofware requirements

• Pentium II or better (Windows 2000 and above)
• 64MB RAM (Preferably 128MB with Windows 2000 and 256MB with Windows XP)
• 60MB of free hard disk space
• A monitor and graphics card with at least 800x600 resolution and 16 bit colour
• A mouse or mouse-compatible pointing device
• Window-compatible sound card
• DVD/CD ROM Drive or access to the Internet, depending on the distribution method

Additional free disk space will be required for installation of content published in the VirtualBook® format. The amount of disk space required depends on the size of the content, which, to date, has varied from 2 MB to 600 MB.

Distribution Options

VirtualBook® can be distributed on CD-ROM, LAN, WAN, Intranets, the Internet or be used in a hot-seating network environment.
